Why you should visit Maui

I visited Maui, Hawaii back in 2019. That is still one of my favourite trips I have done. All the natural beauty and unique adventures in Maui make it an unforgettable experience, that I would recommend to anyone. Here I will give you some of my top reasons why I think you should visit Maui.

  1. First on the list is it’s beautiful beaches. Maui is known to have some of the best beaches in the world, and I can definitely see why. The golden sand beaches with the beautiful blue ocean are amazing. Some of the most popular beaches in Maui are Kaanapali Beach, Wailea Beach, and Makena Beach.

2. Next up on the list is the road to Hana. It is a beautiful scenic drive across Maui with lots of curves and bridges. Along the way you will see waterfalls, views of the ocean, rainforests, black sand beaches and so much more. If you really want to enjoy the experience even more I would recommend getting the gypsy guide hana app. It is basically like having a tour guide with you on the trip. I did this for my trip and it really made the trip a lot better. The app will tell you about the history of places as you pass by them, as well as letting you know of popular places to stop at along the way. Be prepared to use a full day for this adventure, especially if you are planning to make a few stops. Also just be aware the road is quite narrow at places and there is some single lane bridges as well. There is good signage up so it wasn’t really an issue for us, but just something to keep in mind while driving

3. Number three is Haleakala national park. You can drive to the top of Haleakala volcano which is over 10,000ft. From there you can look into the crater, or if you are feeling really adventurous, you can also hike through the crater. This is also a great place to come stargazing or to see the sunset or sunrise. Just do be prepared, even if it might be warm where you are, this is up 10,000ft so it can get a bit chilly up there. Bring some extra layers if you are going here.

4. The food options here are great. You can get delicous local meals, which I highly recommend. Also if you love seafood, you can get amazing fresh seafood here. If you are craving something else, there is also other great options. There is a variety of mexican food places as well as your traditional american foods.

5. If you love ocean adventures there is a lot of great options here. From snorkeling to scuba diving and whale watching. In places like molokini crater and honolua bay you can explore coral reefs and swim with sea turtles. There is also lots of options for surfing, paddleboarding or kayaking.
